The Basics of Short Story Writing
Many people are intimidated by writing short stories. This however can be incredibly fun for those that wish to try. All it takes is for an idea to pop in you head and then the rest is basic writing techniques you learned in high school.
1) The idea
2) Then you use details about the characters and story line
3) Next you build up to the climax of the story
4) Hit the climax with the most amount of detail possible
5) Then the main character's downfall or failing
6) Finally, the ending which can be either happy or sad depending on the story.
